Is there someone else we're looking to recruit besides Jaffcoat and Hicks?

I'm thinking that having them both declare for Texas Friday would give us a possible hook to hang other offers on, or at least to keep any fence-sitters who have verbals but might be wavering.

A huge IF that we get them both. My opinion is if we get both we are done. The only possibilty I can think of is Hicks choose OSU, we might try for Corey Nelson. No real basis for this, just my hunch.

Looks like Texas will get a visit from a LA high school kicker this weekend, who is currently committed to Arky. His teammate is a top defensive recruit next year.

Those punts off the bad snaps are amazing.

On the last one, he's 5 yards deep in the endzone spins around and punts it to the other teams 43 yard line.

And I'm Coach Boom would be please if his defense got to face offenses starting at their own 20 after every score.

amazing, yes. It looked to me that his kickoffs are the key. It looked to me that he was kicking 70-75 yards on kickoffs. We kickoff so much, and that has been our big weakness. I think, if I could choose one of the three, I would have him kickoff.

If I could choose two of the three, I would choose kickoff and punt. I would just get him to speed up the punt and see what happens.

I think his size is almost perfect. Just from memory I think Russel Exrelben was 6'4" and John Teltschik was 6'4".

Those were our two best punters.

Everybody has stories about Russell, but one time John was punting into a strong wind, so strong that the other team's punter punted his normally, it went straight up into the air, and probably went 5 yards.

John gets back there, punts a line drive that absolutely cuts through what little wind there was about 15 feet off the ground, and travels 40 yards.

Best kick against the wind I've ever seen.
