Is there a am game 2 thread?

For those who can't watch it for whatever reason, it's 2-2, top 5.

Michael Torres scored for Texas in the top of the 1st off an RBI groundout from Jordan Danks. Torres reached in the third on a double to center and was batted in by Tucker, who singled up the middle.

A&M scored two runs (both reached on walks) off a triple by Luke Anders.

Wood has been serviceable but not dominant, giving up only 1 hit but has three walks and hit a batter. A&M's pitcher has been pretty good. Four hits given up but 5 Ks and no walks.
 
dont know why, but hasn't been a game with updates here since the late 90's--

I would venture to guess that people don't do "real" update threads as much anymore because you can now listen to every game online and watch most games online for free, if they're not on television.
 
Why in the world did Hernandez try to stretch that to a triple? There was only 1 out, and Texas is up by 3. Then, here comes to Torres with a single that would have scored him. I'm guessing Harmon told him to keep running. Either way, it was monumentally stupid.

Texas leads 5-2. Top of the 7th, 2 outs, runner on 1st, A&M bringing in a new pitcher.
 
Can't get Torres home.

5-2 Horns, bottom 7. Wood has thrown close to 90 pitches. Will be interesting to see how long he goes.
 
Just keep doing what we're doing, shut them down and take the series tonight and take the 3rd game tomorrow for good measure!

Way to turn the season around, Texas is playing great ball at the right time.
 
Top 8, Horns still lead 5-2. Danks grounded out to second to lead off. Russell singled up the middle. Belt at the plate. Childress is getting an inordinately long time to discuss the situation with his pitcher.
 
3u double play. Belt was inches from an RBI double.

It is important to note that while Wood has coaxed a lot of fly outs, the defense is playing very well tonight, as they did last night. No errors so far in this series for Texas.
 
3 up, 3 down for Wood, who is certainly doing his part as a fielder in this game.

5-2 Horns, top 9. I don't know why, but I feel like we need an insurance run or two.
 
Go Horns! If Horns can hang on the State Farm Lone Star showdown will be tied with the outdoor track and field results tomorrow being the final two points.
 
Well A&M hasn't done crap on offense since the first inning, but I don't feel good about just a 3-run lead going to the bottom of the 9th. Wood has thrown 108 pitches.
 
actually, Bill, I think we are assured of the state farm classic since we won sweepstakes today in the concert band portion of the competition--yeah!!

Danks with an amazing diving catch for the first out, but the Aggies follow it up with a one-out double. Now bringing in a pinch hitter.
 
Really just an efficient, workman-like performance tonight by the whole team. The one mistake was Hernandez going for a triple when he should have stopped at second. That would have made it a 6-2 game, but 5-2 will work.

Big Bird goes for the sweep tomorrow.
