All signs, so far, point to "yes" ...
Thru 19 games, take a peek at the numbers he is throwing up ... both at the plate, and on the mound.

As an FYI, last night alone we went 4-5 with 5 RBI, and his first career save. Torbush.

He needs to pass some of his robotics to Kyle Russell. He could use some help with overall production.

Speaking of robotics, compared to previous years, how do we compare so far in terms of errors? Seems we are producing more E's than normal.

Our defense is definently down, but I expect it to get better. Augie even noted that defense is easier to fix than pitching and hitting.

In addition, I think that the trials are over for most of our pitchers. I expect the cream to be used, and the kids who have struggled to be sit on the bench.

First Big 12 road series = go time ...

We're 19 games in, they all count from here on out.

This team would suddenly get much better if some of the pitchers (I'm looking in Casey Whitmer's direction) would quit nibbling around the zone and trust their stuff.

It does seem like the defense is slowly improving. They've played errorless ball in three of their last four games. Small sample size, but one can hope.

The focusness needs some tweaking from what I have seen/read/heard. Augie will get them into shape or it will be another year without Omaha.

Gotta get sweeps from teams like Kansas to get into the top 8 by season end.(home field throughout playoffs) Although 2/3 is better than nothing I guess.

We need a couple of pitchers who can go 6 innings. Right now, it doesn't seem like anyone is doing that consistently.

Without Belt Texas State probably would have won that game. The Bobcats have to do a better job with him at the Dell Diamond. As far as the weekend series with Tech you guys should do just fine. I saw them play Texas State a couple of weekends back and their pitching just looked lost as State beat them 14-3.
