This story from NYT on Jon Corzine and MF Global Holdings doesn't paint him in a favorable light,
And indeed anyone that did what he did to MF Global is either an idiot or thought he could get away with his large severance pay BEFORE the **** hit the fan.The Link

otice anything missing from the NYT article?
Anything?

I think it was missing this:

Jon Stevens Corzine (born January 1, 1947) is the former CEO of Goldman Sachs and a one time American politician, who served as the 54th Governor of New Jersey from 2006 to 2010. A Democrat, Corzine served five years of a six-year U.S. Senate term representing New Jersey before being elected Governor in 2005. He was defeated for re-election in 2009 by Republican Chris Christie.[2] In March 2010, Corzine was named chairman and CEO of MF Global Inc., a financial services firm specializing in futures brokerage that filed for bankruptcy protection in October 2011.

That is exactly what it was missing. I wonder when BO will condemn Corzine for his " reckless practices" OR if Obama will give back the money Corzine gave him.

Is Corzine still BO's Guy on Wall Street?

what an idiot.

you think BO really gives a fvck? no. he doesn't and his bag lickers will continue to cover, support, and help ruin what is left of the country. this doesn't matter to them, and certainly not to BO. he knows they will votes for him no matter what.

To clarify, that story from the NYT was an op-ed piece by Joe Nocera, a very good financial journalist (and probably an equally good op-ed writer, but that remains to be seen).

Greed knows no partisan lines.

I doubt that Corzine is stupid.

Gee I am sorry. I gave you and most posters here the credit that you would have known the actual story on MFGlobal and and that they filed for bankruptcy.

Even if they find the money Corzine is dead on Wall Street and a fool. Hard to be BO's "Wall Street Guy" if you caren't on Wall Street

Your posts above may or may not be stories. I didn't click on the links.

This was the clarification:

This story from NYT ....

This is an op-ed from the NYT, as opposed to a story. There is a difference. I know many cannot tell the difference between metaphor and fact, but that's another topic....

So yes, we know that MF filed for bankruptcy. That does not, however, mean it's ok to label op-ed pieces as news stories.
Op is short for "opinion"; "ed" for editorial.

Per?
Show me where I said my OP was a NEWS story.

and while we are at it How did YOU know it was not a NEWS story?

In journalistic, and lay, parlance, a story is a piece, a news item. It is not an op-ed. That's rather obvious and you are now lamely attempting to make an unsupportable argument.

I knew it was an op-ed piece because 1) I clicked on the link; 2) saw the headline "op-ed"; and 3) saw it was written by Joe Nocera, whom recently became an op-ed writer for the Times. It was fairly big news (for those who follow this stuff) when Nocera transferred to the op-ed section of the paper.

Exactly
The piece at the link said editorial so I wasn't trying to confuse anyone now was I?

Now do You have any opinion on the article or on how stupid Corzine had to be?

Well, they're not called Government Sachs for nothing.

And the President has been their bag man long before Obama took office.
