with a move to the SEC?
Seriously, they have not been to the Big 12 football championship game in over a decade. Do they seriously think they will make the SEC championship game with any regularity? They will not successfullly compete with the SEC on the gridiron regularly. See Arkansas...
They are about to step into a baseball juggernaut that might upgrade their baseball team due to stiffer competition but could easily backfire.
Their fans will not travel enough to allow them in the SEC to keep their claims as "best fans" valid. They will be selling tickets at Kyle at a discount after the novelty of the new league wears into mediocre football.
I am a big Longhorn supporter and travel to lots of games for baseball, basketball and football. I like the regional nature of the Big 12 and even though Boulder is far away I miss that as one of the far trips. I like a smaller more regional conference.
I think a 9 or 10 team conference with inroads to a BCS game is a great deal and aggy has a decent chance to compete now but they are prepared to blow it because they are jealous they don't have their own TV deal.
