IRS also targeted pro-life organizations

Burn the witches!!

The Tea Party crap was wrong and anyone should be held accountable for focusing on them. The RW media better start looking into the stories and tax exemption eligibility for some of these organizations before assuming they are the equivalent to the Tea Party/Patriot crowd.

I suspect the desire to feed the story may not hold up to expected journalistic standards of due diligence.

Seattle?
Which organizations?
so you think the prolife groups mentioned in the O P won't stand up as legit groups?
Really? why?
if not them then to which groups do you refer?
Have you read any that have so far been listed that you think are suspect?

can you name any?

I can

I'm saying in the rush to find RW stories to support the narrative that the IRS is a tool of the left wing the facts of many of the cases may not be vetted like they should be.

Personally, I think the IRS is too liberal in general with passing out tax exempt statuses to organizations on all sides of the political spectrum. A more strict interpretation of the ambiguous guidelines set down by congress would eliminate the exemption status from many of these organizations. Of course, the same leaders that wrote these exemptions into the tax code often end up leading these "non-profit" organizations.

Feel free to point out your issue with the story. They cite a group that is complaining about being targeted, and the group puts forth their case. I guess they should have sat on it until the government decided to disclose it? I'm missing what your issue is with this piece other than the source of it.

Whether you like it or not, none of the current issues would be in the public realm of discussion without those fringe right-wing nutjob journalists you think should be keeping quiet. So you know, if it's all the same to you, I'm going to go ahead and consider this an actual story about an actual complaint made by actual people who may or may not have a legitimate gripe, but I'd kinda like to know if it happened.
