Ipod speakers

What's the consensus on a good set of speakers for an Ipod? My kids decided Mom needed one for Xmas (translation: I bought Mom an Ipod) which means I'm on the hook for something to play the thing through when she doesn't want to do headphones/earbuds. Is there anything out there that doesn't suck?

The site's organization is kinda blah, but their reviews seems to be fairly accurate and fair.

You know you can connect the ipod to a stereo receiver, right?

I have a Bose sound dock, and I love it.

Comes with a remote control, and it is compact, and crystal clear.

I highly recommend it...

Thanks for the suggestions -- I just checked the little mini stereo we have in our kitchen, and it has an auxilliary set of RCA inputs. I'm just gonna buy the wife a mini-to-RCA cable and wow her with my tech savvy and fiscal conservatism.

iLounge gave these Logitech speakers a great review. I got it for my wife and she loves it. Has built-in batteries, so she can take it with her wherever she wants without the hassle of a power cord. The sound is very impressive for such a small unit.
