iPod Repair

Wife's iPod's battery lasts about 5 minutes, otherwise the device is fine.

Suggestions on place to get it repaired and appr cost? If cost is too much, I may just use it in a docking station where no battery is needed.

I haven't used these guys, but they should be able to do it easily.

I'm probably going to try to do my own when the time comes, but I've heard getting the case open is a pain in the ***.

is it out of warranty? where are you located? there's a new mac store (at least i just noticed it) on Mopac and 2222 (where the McDonald's is on the west side of Mopac). they might be able to help.

It is really easy to replace the batteries on some models.

Originally they were made to last 1 1/2 years or so.

Then there was a grass roots backlash against Apple and Apple changed its tune. But they knew what they were doing when they put crap batteries in the first ones.

That being said, I f'ing LOVE my iPod Touch 2nd G. LOVE IT!! First iPod I've ever bought and it's been worth every penny.
