IPOD help

if I wanted to take someone else's mp3's from their cpu/library and put them on my ipod, can I just plug mine into their machine and drag albums over? I don't think this is possible. I have mine set up where when I plug it into my base, it updates everything automatically from my itunes library; anyone? I spent all weekend trying to figure it out.

yes you can, you just have to change your settings on your computer to manage your playlists manually. this way, the songs you place on your ipod from your buddies computer will not be erased.

oh, just plug mine into their computer and put everything on mine, letting it overide my ****; then just go back to my computer and drag everything I had on there before? I think that would work. not sure if there is a clean-cut, standard way for this.

if theirs is set to manual as well, it will not overwrite your songs, it will be additive only. same for your machine. so you will have both sets of songs on one ipod.
