iPod - computer connection

This may be an easier question than I think, but I just got an iPod. I have i-Tunes on my PC only, so I want to synch it to that. However, I'm about to get a new computer in about 6 weeks. Question is: when I get the new computer, can I have all of my i-Tunes library on it? More importantly, can I "transfer" the iPod to the new computer so that it synchs to said library?

I had to reinstall Windows which would be about the same as a new computer. I backed up the actual music files form iTunes and afterthe reinstall I restored the music files. I think I rememebr a few other options such as finding all music on your computer. I would be very careful about reinstalling iTunes and hooking the iPod up. I think that will erase the music.

you can use the iPod to copy the library. the ipod can be used on up to 3 nachines at a time
