I finally got around to doing the iPhone upgrade yesterday, but now I can't send outgoing email. Each time I try, I receive an error, "Cannot send mail. One of the recipient addresses was invalid."
Is it worth it to upgrade to 2.0? I have heard there were A LOT of problems and I'm scared to upgrade. I might wait for the next upgrade. But what do you guys think so far?
I fixed the prob. It was about a 10 second fix. Apparently the username and password for incoming email weren't optional despite the screen saying that.
I think the big advantages of the 2.0 are the automatice email, if you want that, and then the iPhone app store. I haven't had time to play with any of the new applications yet, but I've heard there are some very good ones out there. Also, I heard that you could do mass deletions of email, but I haven't figure out whether that's true yet, and if it is, how to do it.
I love the app store, but my phone is flaky since I upgraded to 2.0. Lately I have to shut it all the way down once a day or I lose both the cell and wifi networks.
2.0 is definitely problematic -- slow to respond, apps crashing from time to time. Not a deal breaker for me, but I am looking forward to the patch, hopefully soon.
ActiveSync for Exchange works beautifully, though. That is worth the upgrade alone for me.
