Iphone question...

Why do they love MC Hammer's "Please Hammer DOn't Hurt Them" so much?

Seriously..I've got a thousand or so songs loaded up and without fail, at some point in my morning train ride (about 40min door to door), some track off that CD will come on.

"shuffle" can only work if the iphone is willing to truly shuffle the songs and not just play its favorites. So basically, I'm stuck listening to 'Soft and Wet" "Have you seen her" and "Crime story" over and over.

It's a fantastic album...and every now and then I enjoy it...but come on Iphone..move on.

rate your songs from 1-5 star and in your itunes settings tell it to play higher rated songs more frequently

Is there any easer way to do it besides right-click, rating, number of stars? That's a ***** to do for thousands of tracks. It should have the stars next to the track, and you click on the appropriate number, like doing ratings on amazon or youtube.

My iPhone loves anything from Blood on the Tracks (Bob Dylan). I think it's played that at least 3x as often as songs from any other album. At least I love that album. If it were playing MC Hammer that regularly, I would have deleted the album by now.

you can also rate the song while it's playing on your iphone by double-tapping on the album art.

I find that shuffle also biases towards songs that have more plays. You can list the number of plays any track has had in iTunes as well.
