Edit: I meant to update the post earlier when it first came out...

Cool features... I also have an old school iphone... got it the day of the original release 2 years ago... the update is working just fine so far with no problems at all.

Not sure if I want to download the firmware just yet. the 3G S has a faster processor possibly to handle the extra load from the new OS. It could possibly chunk on the 3G phones. I'm going to wait and see how fast my friend's phones are with the update.

I'm still on the old school I-phone. Will any of the features work on my old school phone? I'll probably upgrade to the 3gs. My phone still work fine but it's been two years I think I've earned a new one.

I updated my 3G this morning. It was excrutiating for reasons I cannot explain but are related to my computer and my technodoltism. I spent more than an hour on the phone with tech support. But the result was well worth it so far.

Just being able to text in latitudinal orientation makes a huge difference. And everything processes faster now.

It's working great on mine. I was excited that Sirius finally released an app but it doesn't include Howard so I'm not as excited but still nice.

I've updated to 3.0 but can't get the new MMS (with pics) to work. So far it looks like I have at&t carrier version 4.0 and need 5.0. I tried a 3rd party download but that will not work, called at&t and no luck. Any ideas?

If I remember correctly, AT&T isn't set up for the MMS with pictures or tethering, yet. It's available outside the US.

I really like the cut-copy-paste functionality, it's implemented well, albeit late.

Also like the ability to open Safari links in a new page - closest thing to tabbed browsing on the iPhone.

Jailbreaking allows you to install software from sources other than Apple's App Store using a package manager such as Cydia.
