Conveniently my Razor is dying a quick death this week, just as the 3g is coming out on Friday. But I was doing some research and the LG Vu looks pretty good too.

What do y'all think?

iPhone.

question though. in the above youtube video, it looks like one of the buttons on the home screen is labeled MMS.

what is up with that?

Hi-jacking the thread - does anyone know about the functionality of the GPS on the iPhone? Can I ditch my Garmin Nuvi after Friday?

As a current iPhone owner. I'm really not that excited about the 3g. More so for the software update. Most of the places I go anyway here in the city have wifi anyway and I'm sure this trend will continue

If you don't already have an iPhone, the 3G model is rather attractive.

If you already have an iPhone EDGE model, it's likely you will load* up the software 2.0 and enjoy most of the spiffy new interface included in the 3G model.

GPS is nifty, but not as robust as the dedicated units. LG Vu is a nice phone. But iPhone has an amazing UI that I really enjoy working with. To me, that makes a world of difference.

*Edit for clarity: iPhone Software 2.0 is not yet available to the public.

If you have a pre-release, I'm getting antsy.

I actually signed up as a developer, but haven't had the time to mess with it that I wanted. Maybe if I posted less on bulletin boards...
