Can't find the link to the official download anywhere and iTunes says 1.1.4 is the latest version available. what gives??

keep clicking on iTunes update... after a few times it will recognize it... be ready to wait on the backing up iphone process (not so much the download)... it's well worth it though... make sure you sync before updating...

Or just go here and download update and follow installation instructions of the official 2.0 update from macrumors.com...

sounds like you have the older version of Itunes. Download the new version and then you will see the iPhone update. Good luck though. I've been trying to download everyday since Friday and get timed out on the download EVERY time. Very frustrating.

I'm running 2.0 firmware now on my 1st gen iPhone and there are some nice improvements, especially the App Store.

One free app I recommend checking out is Pandora. You create a custom 'radio' station by entering the name of an artist you like, and Pandora will find similar artists & musical styles and stream those to you automatically. Create several stations with whatever musical styles you like. I am very impressed with it.

Also, Exchange integration for mail, contacts and calendar is working well. This was the big hurdle for many business users, and although the implementation is not perfected it is a solid step in the right direction. I am pleased with Apple's delivery on this so far.
