Iowa Player Gives UT Fans Props

I should have posted this last week. The Iowa series featured two of the most fun outfielders that we've had as long as I've been watching games from the buses in right field. Kurtis Mueller played center and Ryan Durant was in right field. They were great outfielders, interacting back and forth with us for the entire series. On Saturday, we had both of their dads and other Iowa fans out there enjoying some cold beverages. Kevin's dad and brother actually watched both games on our bread truck and laughed as we heckled Kevin. A great time was had by all. Having fun with opposing teams' players and parents is what college baseball is all about.

Anyway, Kevin writes a weekly blog for Ping!Baseball.com (something that we reminded him of frequently during the games). The link below has his entire write up on the Texas series. But here is what Kevin wrote about the UT fans:

I promised a few of the Longhorn fans that I would give them a “shout-out” in my next blog, so here it is guys!!! Myself and Ryan Durant would like to thank you guys for being great fans of the game and also for keeping things fun and entertaining throughout the weekend. I hope you guys enjoyed the signed BigTen baseball and the piece of gum that as tossed over the fence. I’d like to thank you guys for the big bag of bubble gum that you gave my brother to give to me, very thoughtful haha! It was nice interacting with you guys in between pitches, and inbetween the innings!
