InternetExplorer - saving pics help

My roommates Internet Explorer will only save images as bitmaps (untitled.bmp) - Is there somewhere in an options menu to change this?? It's the first time i've ever seen a computer do this.

If the picture you're downloading is a bitmap, then thats the only way you can save it. Untitled is the default file name for bitmaps from my experience. Try saving the hornfans logo in the top right. It should come up as a GIF.

You should be able to convert it to whatever in paint once you d/l it.

I've seen that happen as well. no solution that I know of except to use a different browser, like Firefox.

guys, dont give advice if you dont really know the problem.

squall - tell your roomate to delete his temporary internet files.

if the temp files get too big, ie goes gay and only lets u save as .bmps

go to tools->internet options->delete files.
