Texas Women Stand Tall

The article talks about previous Texas (the state) women's basketball champions and other teams that made the Final Four. I read about the Wayland Baptist Flying Queens that made the Final four in 1976 and looked them up. They had a freshman by the name of Kathy Harston that year. I didn't know about her Texas roots.

A&M's win makes it five consecutive decades that a team from Texas has taken home the national championship, and five different programs no less. The State already had the record with four teams having won it all - don't think this record is going to be matched anytime soon, if ever!
