Interesting Quotes - Tonight's McD Game/Players

Well overseasbbfan1, just between us, I will be sickened for 4 years watching Griner SLAM DUNK & BLOCK SHOTS in the Big XII. Not seeing her in the Big Mac All Star game was okay with me. What will be interesting to see is how well the Baylor coaching staff can teach Griner to play both defense and offense against strong, big bodied opponents. The talented young lady will, I predict, have a hard time for her first 2 years against teams with large and good defenses. She will likely set some records against lesser teams

but will become frustrated against teams with good defensive post players.
 
If Griner were less mobile I would agree but I think that her height, length and athleticism will allow her to do so many things that defenses have not see before and that the big bodies will not affect her. Mulkey is not going to post her up and let her get pushed off of her spot all game long. She is going to flash into the lane and based on footage from the state tournament she has a nice jumper from ten feet in. I think she will dominate right from the start.
