Today on CNNSI.com their writer Glockner puts six teams from the Big 12 in the NCAA tournament. What I find very intriguing is not the three locks from the Big 12 , or the total number of teams being higher than we thought possible, but rather the remaining three teams. Glockner has Texas in the field as a 9 seed, to play Utah in the first round, with Pittsburgh lurking. Texas is the highest of the three Big 12 also-rans. The other two are Aggy and Oklahoma State. Kansas State is left out of the mix, so I suppose that game with Kansas State at OSU could be viewed as elimination game. Texas' 9 seed will not exist if the Horns end the year with 3 consecutive defeats, but that is an editorial comment that means nothing to people already drinking at Schultz's pregame tonight (hopefully thousands and thousands for Senior night!).
