Interesting but Worthless Information

Thought I'd take a look at the Big 12 schools and their results of their games on a win/loss basis.

All of the Conference Teams won their openers and if OU wins tonight will be 100% (10-0)

Then I thought I'd check on the Mighty (and I use that term lightly) SEC to see how members of that conference fared:

Missouri lost to Wyoming
Tennessee lost to Georgia State
South Carolina lost to Mack Brown
Ole Miss lost to Memphis
Vanderbilt lost to Georgia (not a OOC game but still was opening day for both)

So the sec went 9-5 (or 8-4 depending on whether or not the Vandy v Georgia game is considered) which is 64% counting all or 67% win rate depending if the Georgia - Vandy game is excluded from opening day games.

So "the SEC is the Best and Toughest Conference" slogan is total BS.

I told you guys this was worthless information but also kinda interesting

Joe, you are correct in most of the free world, but not in the southeastern US. They view it as the $EC was 1-0 because only games against the $EC count with $EC not caring about games against non-$EC opponents. Continuing with that thought, no Big XII team played a game against a $EC so the Big XII was 0-0.
