I've never installed a french drain but I need to. I get a lot of moisture in places in my yard. My yard is sloped and just over an acre.
A friend said 18" deep then a layer of gravel, lay in the pipe and then fill with gravel leaving room on the top for some soil and sod.
Besides having the utility companies come out and mark their lines, any advice? I'm planning on renting an 8" trencher.
