That would be just more of the same; basically more state run propaganda, only emanating from the next political power holder with his own biased, non-independent slant.

Voice of America is pretty much the US version of what you call Russian propaganda, only more experienced and guided by the US Deep State.

I don't think there is anything wrong with propaganda as long as it is not disguised. In Iraq we adopted a philosophy of by-with-thru and tried to put an Iraqi "face" on everything we did. Not precisely the same as propaganda but I always debated the policy. Many believed that it leant the Iraqi government 'legitimacy' if they were seen as the providers.

I thought it was flawed logic, but my pay grade wasn't high enough to impact that decision.

VOA is very clearly (in most cases) marketed as Voice of America so I think this type of propaganda is acceptable. What is not acceptable is hiring an American to put an American face on your Russian or Chinese propaganda....And the American's doing it for them, should be ashamed of themselves.
