wow, and TCU getting nowhere... does it take another season for the kids to take notice??

OU is getting a good share, but they don't touch the top 10 which is nice, their top recruit is #22. Aggy recruiting well because Sherman is NFL guy, that has to be the reason, that's the only thing I can come up with. Their TV exposure this year was so skinny, that's all they've got. I kind of expect next year's recruiting by Aggy to look worse.

Collins kid going to Utah, is he related to our Collins? Or am I confusing Collins with Kirkendoll? One of them is from Round Rock.

I really get the impression there is a year lag time in all of this. These look like results I would expect from last year's success of OU, and especially TCU flying way under the radar.

How long until the aggies say the recruiting services are just pawns in UT's army, and sway the rankings to make them look better, and all the guys Sherman is going to sign are just under-rated sleepers.

By the way, I just wanted to add that I trust Jeff's rankings for 2010 and 2011 above anyone else's. Obviously I'm going to be biased because he works for our publication, but people don't know the kind of work he puts in.

Watching film is one thing, but Jeff sees these guys in person. Jeff has seen so many high school games, combines, camps, etc. that he has literally driven 14,000 business miles this year. To put that in perspective, at this latitude (Austin, Tex.) the circumference of the Earth is 18,755.4 miles.

Sorry go on about it, but Jeff deserves a lot of credit for the work he's done.

Anyone know how much the comments about the Texas blocking scheme for o-linemen has affected the ability to recruit top-shelf talent? I know there was the Matthews incident. Any others?
