Has anyone ever tent camped at Inka Lake? Good / bad any suggestions?

Check out the almost adjacent Longhorn Caverns State Park, the cave is worth a visit.

Nice camping at Inks Lake.

Good fast food at Storms in Kingsland.

Quality breakfast dining at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls.

Challenging golf at Delaware Springs MGC in Burnet.

There's even another scenic golf course immediately adjacent to Inks Lake State Park.

Nice day trip to Enchanted Rock State Park near Llano.

This is the area where I live my life and I recommend it even for short visits.

Buchanan dam, just a couple of miles away, might be worth looking at.

Camp Longhorn is just across Inks Lake fron the state park.

The exposed granite rocks and hills, as your get close to Inks Lake coming from Burnet, are said to be some of the oldest rocks exposed on the surface of the Earth.

Fast fred I appreciate your input. I will be tent camping (actually it is a tent that connects to my truck). We are looking for a site that has both electricity and water. Which area / site do you recommend and why?

Most people try to book one of the lakefront spaces for obvious reasons. You probably knew this, but you can make a reservation online.

In scouts int he late 60's, Inks Lake St. Park was our favorite. We went there to swim in Devil's Hole, jump off Devil's Rock. It was a right of passage for a 12 year old. Allsome.
