So far, the following players are out for the season:

WVU’s 6-4 Sr. post Asya Bussie (ACL)
KSU’s 6-1 Jr. Forward Katya Leick (ACL) & 5-10 Fr. Guard Kelly Thomson (ACL)
TTU’s 5-8 Fr. Guard Ivonne Cook-Taylor (ACL)

Saw a tweet earlier from Rick Cantu that Chelsea Bass has another concussion, and is not participating in practice. She will be re-evaluated next week.

Tech’s Minta Spears suffered a knee injury in their game Sunday against Arizona State. Coach Curry said an MRI was done today (Monday, 11/12/12) with results to be forwarded to her tomorrow morning. I hope it's not an ACL.

For whatever reason it appears to me that female athletes (or at least female basketball players) have a much higher rate of ACL & MCL injuries than male players. Anybody know if there's any validity to this?

It's not official, but I'm 99.9% sure that Whitney has blown her ACL again. Sherri could hardly put 2 words together about it after the game. Would appreciate any thought & prayers you can send.

I was watching and I suspect you are correct about Whitney. I was so sorry to see it happen.

Wow. So sorry to hear that. Thoughts are with Whitney.

Heartsick for Whitney and the Sooners! Feel bad for all the injuries to the OU team. I want all teams full force and competitive.

Wow! So sorry to see her senior season end like this.
Prayers for a quick recovery. Don't know if she will continue to play but hopefully she will be able to do all other things without pain.

KSU loses Ashia Woods, 5-11 Soph. G, (ACL) and Ashlyn Knoll, 5-11 Jr. F, (Achilles Tendon) for the season before their game with OSU tonight. Along with other injuries from which players could return, KSU had only seven players tonight when they upset # 12 OSU in OT, 76-70.
