Injuries before the world cup....

Are there more injuries previous to this World Cup than in past World Cups?

I can't decide if it's better media access and how quickly the internet can help disseminate information, or there are just more injuries to some big names.

Also, what's the point of the tune-ups THIS CLOSE to the world cup??

then you have the freak training field incidents
Altidore's ankle
Ferdinands knee

Nani was ruled out today, and Chupete Suazo's availability is still up in the air.

That's a pretty good team that is being formed from those that are injured.

Still to early to tell, but it is amazing the number of team captains that could be out.

i almost mentioned my Chelsea world cup blues (see what i did there!)

Julio Ceasar from Brazil got a knock and hasn't trained, there's the keeper for the all injured team!

Speaking of keepers...didn't David James sit out several days of training because he "suffered a knee injury" while on the flight to SA?
