I though the long drawn out scenes were great. Builds suspense and allows the actors to show their chops, which they did I thought (see exception below) - particularly Landa.
]['lI think my preference for QT movies has decreased with each release until now - RD is my favorite, while I found the Kill Bills and Grindhouse to be annoying to the point of almost unwatchable. So I was pleasantly surprised that the only two things I found myself cringing at were:
1. The eating scene with Landa and Shoshana - was it necessary to turn the mic up on the sound of Landa smacking his lips and gums? I'm sure it was an homage to something, but f'n A, I wanted to plug my ears.
2. Eli Roth - not a good actor. I'm sure they are friends, but come on.
