Inglorious Basterds: You all ready?

Two hour and 33 minutes run time? Sounds kind of bloated for the style of movie they're advertising. I'll probably see it, but I don't have high expectations.

yeah - 'nat-zi'. I posted on another thread that brad pitt's brutal accent was enough in itself to keep me away.
QT should have picked a different lead.

If the trailers are an indication, I'm thinking I may not even want to be within smelling distance of where this movie is playing.

I have some friends who saw a sneak over the weekend and they said it is awsome and that the trailer is terrible and has nothing to do with the actual movie.

I'll wait for it to come to cable. Then I'll watch part of it when I am drunk and too tired to look for the remote.

After seeing Death Proof, I’m starting to wonder if Tarantino’s too busy falling in love with himself.

Fun drinking game! Every time Tarantino uses an obvious shot to satiate his foot fetish, take a drink. You'll be drunk off your *** after watching Death Proof.

I hope he get's back to making movies for US and not HIM.

Tarantino had to re-cut it after Cannes, that's not a good sign. This movie has a very good chance of sucking.

Will this be an actual movie, or just another QT hommage to himself and movies he liked growing up? The reason why Kill Bill was such a mess was that it was so full of hommages to this obscure film and that never seen anywhere film that it didn't flow like a good movie should.

No need to risk 20 bucks on it when I can rent it for a few dollars in a few months, so if it's another QG film montage I can turn it off and work on my car.

Tarantino is a good example of a great talent being undercut by a third rate, poorly trained mind.

He takes snatches that work from every movie ever made and glues them together and his choices are excellent if all you are trying to do is stimulate the audience.

But there is no intelligence behind any of it---it is nothing but gigs of the sensory system. None of his films or even the episodes in them have any point.

Watching Pulp Fiction is like eating popcorn-----bombards the taste buds but that is it.

I'll pass

From the trailers this looks looks a huge crock. I'll probably see it 20 years from now at two AM on TNT.

currently 87% fresh on rotten tomatoes. The Houston Chronicle reviewer is just about breathless in his praise for the movie. I'll watch it.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing this movie....

But QT is a giant douche who makes entire movies out of BS cliches and then is applauded for "fantastic" "breathtaking" and "true art" films, when what is on the screen is often utter ****.

I admit I've not seen many of his films, but what I have seen stunk on ice. I thought Pulp Fiction was awful.

Even so, I am anxious to see this one. Cuzzin, bidness is boomin'.

Just got back from it. I never found gratuitous violence so utterly entertaining. At times the movie was art and the character development was special. Lots of creative and memorable scenes. Picture the Dirty Dozen on a cocktail of meth and steroids. Col. Hans Landa may be the best movie villain since Magua in Last of the Mohicans.

Just don't go see this movie expecting to come out a better person than you went in.
