Infused vodka

After reading the "Best Bloody Mary" thread, I decided to infuse some vodka. I got a handle of Stoli and made two batches of infused vodka.

The first one I put dill, garlic, black peppercorns, and a dried chipotle. Obviously this will be for the Bloodies.

The second batch I took the zest of one lemon and sliced a cucumber very thinly. I'm going to make cucumber gimlets with this batch (splash of lime juice, a tbs. of simple syrup, shaken with ice and strained).

I've made pineapple vodka before as well, using fresh pineapple and letting it sit for a few weeks.

How much saffron do you use for 750ml? That sounds like it would be pretty good.

What do you mix the saffron vodka with?
 
one-quarter teaspoon for 24 hours.

I don't mix it with anything. I chill it in the freezer and serve it in shot glasses. Its a real different taste...I prefer the coriander.
