Infrared video cameras and kids

I imagine that staring into an infrared light for a long period of time isn't a recommended activity, but I was curious if there was any other way to watch an infant at night? You would think that the infrared lights will attract their attention, so they can't help but stare at it.

OK, maybe I'm just a paranoid papa.

Go to Babies R Us. They have baby cameras and monitors that work at night. I recommend the Summer brand with the cordless monitor. You can take the monitor with you anywhere in the house.

Our master bedroom is downstairs and the babies room is upstaris. The monitor is great.

Yeah, I'm just being paranoid. If you look at those night vision baby cameras too, you'll see the IR lights. The other weird thing is that it's like you're watching possums in a crib.
