This goes to show how "infomed" the average American voter is on the election.

I know, I'm sure this is going on in other non-Feb 5th states and Texas is the only one that made the news, but this is still rediculious.
 
It IS ridiculous, but probably not in the way you mean. Our primary should not be so late in March.

However, this turns out to be a silver lining for Texans; we stand a very good chance of determining who the nominee should be (at least for the Democrats) and who the next President could be

I'm not surprised it happens. Signs up everywhere but few mention the voting date. And non-stop media coverage about Super Tuesday can lead to confusion.
