i'm a little more excited about the new guitar hero. the music editor sounds completely badass

I love that I'll be able to port over the songs from RB1 as well as the DLC.

Activision just did their Guitar Hero press conference. Highlights:

1. New drums have a second input next to the bass pedal. In case you want to have a double bass drum kit

2. Drums also have a midi input. So you can plug in your drums/drum machine/whatever.

3. They demo'd the song creator for a bit. It looked pretty robust, and will let you jam with other people as you develop.

4. When you make your song, you can set markers for effects, like setting of the stage lighting or focusing in on a soloist.

5. They showed a full chart (Hot For Teacher). It looked pretty fun, but the drums and guitar looked pretty intense for it.

I think Rock Band's announcement was better (they put out their full track list!) but this has a lot of good potential as well.

Rolling Stone says World Tour has now licensed 3 Hendrix songs...and got permission to make Jimi an avatar (read: playable character) for the game!

Songs are Foxy Lady, Purple Haze, and Little Wing.
