I am pretty sure that I just got banned from the leagues official website for posting dissenting remarks regarding the cars. I had been a member for over a year and had continuously been on the non-spec side of what is close to a 50/50 split among those who care. I had recently posted two comments in response to the 2011 engine discussion article in 2 different threads to the general effect of ~"Well, if they are keeping a spec chassis, I hear ALMS is really growing." I received general agreement among the other posters, but for the past couple of days when I go to the talkback screen it looks normal, but when I do it after logging in it won't load. As a testt, I registered a new screen name and logged in, and it worked fine. If tony george and his gang of retards are going to run the place like a nazi dictatorship, then there really may be a lot more ALMS in my near future.

That's the only thing I have against Indy Car right now...that it's a spec series. My fireman buddies and I weere catching some of the race at the fire station and were commenting on how cool it would be if they had different constructors building their own cars like in F1. However, of course, that would escalate costs massively, and that's about the last thing that league needs right now.

You're right about ALMS, though. Their popularity is exploding...due in large part, imho, to the great diversity of cars and classes and frequency of overtaking during the races. I was very upset I didn't get to take my 4yo boy to see them in Houston this year. He asks me about it like every other week.
