indy or SEC for Texas?

Given that there will be a Texas and there will be a Longhorn Network, these appear to be the only stable solutions. PAC and B1G seem against LHN so I don't see how they would be possible.

I think either way we get to play at least the occassional SEC team because it's good business (which is fine by me).

If Belmont wants to maintain it's lone star identity of independence, I see the LHN suits getting with the SEC Network suits to cut some lucrative deals.

They haven't said that to Florida. Ironically, the one conference that we don't want anything to do with (even more so now that aggy is there) is the one that would likely take LHN with the fewest changes. But keep trying to convince yourself otherwise, Eric. Maybe one day you'll realize just how similar Florida's deal is to the LHN and you'll stop using that as an excuse for why you're leaving the massive shadow cast from Austin.

Given the choice of indy or SEC, I say SEC. All arguments against the SEC are spurious.

B1G is second choice, but would be my #1 if Domers joined, and, of course, if satisfactory accommodation were made re LHN.

aggy: We ain't Texas A&M. The SEC already is at what Texas wants re Tier 3 income. All we need from the SEC is to allow our own programming. Not a great leap, that.

F' all this. Let's move overseas and start our own conference called College Football Europe. We can keep our network, reach a large and untapped market hungry for US football, and our guys can sell cowboy hats for extra cash when we're in England and we can have all the knockwurst we want when we play Germany.
