In Austin for one night on business what to do?

No smack here, I just want to be able to experience the best Austin has to offer. Any suggestions on where to eat and what to do for one night in Austin? I will be there this Thursday on business and am looking forward seeing it again. (I was there before but in the early '80s.)

Depends on what you like...

6th Street is 6th Street. Lots of bars, college crowd. And now there's the 4th Street Warehouse district that has lots of bars, but a slightly older crowd.

What kind of music do you like? What's your budget?

Since its a business trip the budget isn't a concern. Just want to have a great meal (I am a bit spoiled living just outside of NYC in Fairfield County CT when it comes to food and drink), then head off for a drink that has some good atmosphere, maybe some live music as long as it doesn't bury you.

If it helps I am 37ish and still enjoy heading out for long nights with friends.
