impressed

At the end of this season, many of us were a bit depressed thinking about the players we lose to graduation and the NFL. On the defensive side, we lose Sergio Kindle, Lamaar Houston, Muckleroy, and Earl Thomas. No doubt, they are going to be hard to replace.

Well, go watch the highlights on espnu.com of the linebackers and d-line. Our defense will be downright scary in the coming years.

Linebacker crew:
Aaron Benson (#114)
Jordan Hicks (#4)
Tevin Jackson (#86)
D-line:
Jackson Jeffcoat (#2)
Taylor Bible (#14)
Ashton Dorsey (#46)
Reggie Wilson (#72)

Wow, just wow. Imagine having those 7 on the field at the same time. Very impressed with the talent these kids are bringing.

Oops, I looked to far into the future. I'm already getting depressed about these guys graduating together in 4 years...

I think both Tevin Jackson and Reggie Wilson are underrated vis a vis their peers in the US Army AA game. Based on what I saw, both of these dudes are legit Big XII players right out of the gate.

As far as returning players go, I really like what we have at DE with Eddie Jones, Sam Acho and Alex Okafor. I would not be surprised to see Acho inside on passing downs. This is a ridiculously sick collection of talent at DE. All of these guys have a chance to play at the next level.

I am also really looking forward to seeing what Kenny Vaccaro and Christian Scott will bring to the defensive backfield. It's been a while since we have had true headhunters at the safety spot and I believe that aspect is really underrated nowadays with the advent of the spread in the Big XII.

I also think that Keenan Robinson is going to absolutely rock next year.

I feel real good about our defense going into Boom's third year. This group has a chance to be even better than this year's unit IMO.

I left out E. Acho at LB. He is looking really good for next year, too. I don't think there are too many questions to be answered on D next year. We have gotten to the point where we reload year to year.

D is fine for next year (and years to come).

Stating the obvious, but biggest ?s for next year are OL, WR and to lesser extent TE (because we're used to winning without one). OL is the key next year IMO.
