utahorn, my wife pretended to like football and camping, until we got married and had children. Now it is just me watching the game. She really expresses no interest or asks questions but Saturday am I get a honey do list in the football and hunting season. I just thought it ws funny. Thank God I do not care about NFL anymore. Frees up my Sundays to pray for the Horns and clean the gutters.

LonghornDave, Got it. My wife was raised by a sports fanatic. Before we got married, she and I watched sports, went fishing, camping and other stuff. 41 years later and she still sees something in me. Not sure exactly what......

Pro sports are not what they used to be. Landry and Lombardy would be shocked. Drifting away from that pastime. Sad.

Babylonbee is funny however because it is a satire site that annoys some people.

I'm blessed to have a wife who enjoys sports as much as I do. We met standing over a keg at a party and when she started talking football - intelligently - with me I was hooked. We do get divorced and remarried once a year though in October as she and her family are Sooner fans, but she comes with me to our games and wears our colors for every event outside of the matchup in Dallas. She's a special lady, especially for putting up with my arse.

I've forever been irked by "women say the darndest things about sports" that every website and sports market seems to get a chuckle out of. I've known plenty of "studious" foreign-born male students who would have even worse takes than 99 percent of the women I know.

Like utahorn said, I would say the "darndest things" about makeup, fashion, pop culture, etc. And I don't think women would devote a segment to it.
