oh oh.... found this on the OU boards.

"Not really about the OU v Texas game but this isnt a good sign for GG or Texas the next 4 years. I read this on a Southern California blog site that recapped her HS playoff game.

- Imani Stafford should be dominating games. Tonight she missed shots under the basket, she shot free throws completely uninspired, and she was a fouling machine. Her whole demeanor wasn't one of urgency whatsoever, which is what it should be in a playoff game. She even got crossed over once in the first half, and fell to the floor (took forever to get up, too). Stafford looks like she has relied on her height in playing basketball for a very long time. There's no reason someone as tall as she is averaged less than 10 points per game during the regular season.
The Link

I know one game doesnt make a player, but I have seen Stafford a few times and I cant argue with what the blogger has posted."

Wow, wasn't familiar with that blog, but thanks for sharing. As far as I can tell from the public profile and a couple of other sites it's run by an LA teacher, and former Seattle resident and founding fan of the Seattle Storm, who is also a fan of the PAC-12 and SEC. A lot of good information, and links to other sites on the blog; plus it's always nice to keep up with our recruits, and hear what others are saying.

I did find it interesting that a blogger would attend a game, and then immediately post a writeup criticizing a player who's team just won a playoff matchup. Doesn't really seem fair given that the player in question is a high school student who's had a great season, and even moreso when considering she wasn't expected to compete at all at one point due to what could have been a season or even career ending injury. Seems pretty great to me that this same player has led her team to the playoffs, and a # 2 national ranking to boot. And a player who also chose Texas over USC, I might add. But that's just my opinion.

Even more interesting is that this blog was originally picked up and posted on the Sooner forum by someone who has only contributed 8 posts since joining 2 1/2 years ago, most of which had to do with California (Coale visiting California, recruits leaning towards USC, CAL or UCLA, or other PAC-12 related details). But I guess it's good to have a fan posting ocassional details on another league.

But most interesting of all is that the OU post (the re-post of the blog) was immeidately quoted, and commented on by yet another member. Here's a brief sample of some of this poster's other recent contributions on the Sooner forum:

That's where you are wrong. And it works both ways too.... you're too blind to recognize the truth about current state of Texas and coach.

I like the stats for I.Stafford 10 points and 19 Rebounds and 5 Blocks shots. I will take that any day!
