Imani Stafford heads to USA U18 practice

Stafford, as part of the USA U18 team started practice from May 29 through June 1 in Florida.

An exhibition game against Brazil can be seen on ESPN3 at 7 PM EST (6 PM here in Austin). The U17 will play Brazil's U17 team at 4 PM EST on ESPN3.

Don't forget that ESPN3 will carry the exhibition game between the USA U18 and Brazil U18 teams at 6 pm CST. The women's U17 squads will be on at 4 pm CST.

28-0 at end of first quarter. This Brazil team also played the U17 team in the first game. Prince (Baylor signee) has knocked down a couple of nice shots. Stewart is the real deal. Moriah Jefferson sitting game out with a reaggravated bruised wrist.

Got in late but it's great watching USA. Stewart is going to be an awesome player in college. Imani had a couple of blocks.

Wish we had gotten to watch Imani more but no question why Brianna Stewart is ranked the #1 player in the class of 2012. No one is moving her out of the starting five.

Imani looked good on D and rebounding. She posted up well inside but didn't always get the ball. She will need to work with our posts on finishing strong inside. Can't wait to see how much she improves when the games are played in August.

USA site game story

I thought the announcers had Stewart with 10 assists to go with her 25 pts. She ended up getting credited for only 3 assists.

Surprised to see that Imani didn't play that much. She tied for the rebounding lead with six playing only nine minutes. With Stewart playing the same position and having such an outstanding game, Imani didn't get in much. She did an outstanding job on the boards, though.

I watch the game yesterday.I look I.Stafford to be a All- America her Sophomore year. She has so much in her. That's don't even know it. She takes up a lot of space in the lane when she post up.
And she fights for rebounds. I thought she was going to be skinny and tall. Nope she a good body frame. I am impressed!
