4 HR in 11 games/359 AB's. That's 1 HR every 90 AB's. Definitely not what I was expecting from this team. I know it's still early, but in my opinion this is a little troubling.
Kyle Russell: 1 HR in 35 AB
Jordan Danks: 1 HR in 41 AB
Preston Clark: 0 HR in 25 AB
Cameron Rupp: 0 HR in 27 AB
Brandon Belt: 1 HR in 47 AB
Moldenhauer: 0 HR (and only 6 hits) in 25 AB....what's up with this guy?
Kevin Keyes: 0 HR in 21 AB
Is anyone else a little shocked that through 11 games, David Hernandez is tied with Kyle Russell, Jordan Danks, and Brandon Belt for our HR lead (1) and has more than Preston Clark, Cameron Rupp, Russell Moldenhauer and Kevin Keyes combined (0)?
I know there's more to scoring runs than HR's (especially with Augie as HC). However, I just assumed this team would display a little more pop in the bat than they have.
One final thought: We have scored 107 runs in 11 games (9.7 per game) so its quite possible that everything I posted above is absolutely worthless as an indicator towards offensive production.
