Anybody have any suggestions? I'd like to get something that has a backseat, maybe with that half-door thing.

Thanks for the help.

Don't buy new. Buy an 03 model if you can find one. Let someone else pay the rediculous 1st-year depreciation.

What about the Toyota Tacoma, that looks pretty good. And I heard that Toyotas have a pretty good matinence record.

Just in case you were considering the Nissan Frontier 6cyl.....when they advertise 17-19 mpg in city driving, they are being generous. I have consistently gotten about 15-16. I drive a 5sp manual, but they say that the auto's actually get better mileage.

Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed the truck and haven't had any problems with it, I just didn't think the gas mileage would be that bad. They are a good buy for the $$. I paid less than $17,500 (including tt&l) for a 6cyl, XE King Cab, 5sp, AC, CD, and bedliner.

I have a 4dr frontier, 6cyl auto SE and I love it. The gas milege isn't great but I get closer to 17 in the city. I would recommend it!

What about the new Canyon? I guess its the GMC Canyon, the twin of the Chevy Colorado but I dunno for sure.
