and I hate it.

I was married for a long time to a...well, I was married.

Now, I've got a great GF. She says "what shall we do/what do you want for your BD?"

My answer: not a ************* thing. I really see no reason to "celebrate" the day of august 6. Further, I'm not really happy about getting older.

What's the big deal about a ******* BD for somebody older than 21?

It's better than the alternative or a mamba attack! Oh yeah, Feliz cumpleanos...cha, cha cha!

No, you have no clue how he feels. I didn't care much for 45 and I completely skipped 46.

My daughter turns 19 next weekend and I think it's just silly to have a party. Her mother doesn't think so and neither does she.

Birthdays beat the alternative

I feel better at 41 than I did during my 30's,lost weight, chiro has my back is good shape

I'm going kayaking today with my daughter in Destin--life is pretty good

get some good liquor, a bag of weed, and something good to cook. do something fun in the morning, come home, get naked with girl, enjoy the liquor and weed and girl and see what happens. come on, it's your b-day, let fuckin loose for the day.

I really don't care if you like it or not. Happy ************* Birthday, BigWill!

Happy Birthday BigWill! It's not all that bad. I'm 55 and headed out Monday to Abq to watch a Judas Priest concert with my 27 yeard old gf.

Life is good!

Judas Priest played here night before last.

I live VERY close to the venue (Pacific Amp.) and always get a kick of riding my bike through the parking lot a couple of hours before the concerts.

The JP tailgate crowd was a ******* hoot to see.

I'm 52, and aside from this perimenopause thing, I feel pretty good. A lot of the chronic pain I had in my 30s and 40s has gone away. I'm even looking forward to my 53rd in February.
BigWill, I hope you had a good day and realized that the joy of life is living
it.

Go rent a girl for a couple of hours.

If you were down here, you couldn't walk in a pedestrian area for more than 2 minutes without getting a flier slapped into your hand advertising girls that would love to be hour friend for the price of a nice glass of wine.

It's your birthday.

Happy birthday Big Will. The worst birthday I ever had was when I finally realized that I wasn't 25 any more. I may now realize that I'm old but I do my best to remain childish.

Happy Birthday! Some day you'll look back and think 45 wasn't so bad (I'm 51). Hell, I'd take 45 in a heartbeat. It's all persective.

WooHorn, I don't know if this is much of a "secret" but I've been exercising regularly since my early 30s -- mostly running, lifting some weights a little too the past couple of years, so I just feel great. Also, I don't eat so much anymore, lots of fruit and veggies, and a glass of red wine every night. Just one. That's the physical part.

The other thing, silly as it may sound, is that I just decided to be happy. I think we all have plenty to be happy about if we focus on what's good. I have a terrific wife, my kids are a joy, my job is good. I'm just grateful every day and that has made a difference. I believe that what we are thankful for tends to expand. But I'm naturally an optimistic person so that probably helps as well.

Hope you had a Happy Birthday Big Will.

Happy belated b'day, BigWill. I hope your 45th was better than you expected.

I turn 40 on Thanksgiving this year. I usually go into a 4-6 week funk before my b'day each year & don't really want to commemorate it in any fashion. But not this year. I'm taking my wife to Vegas (her first time) & plan on having a blast. Got a suite @ the Venetian booked & plan on drinking, gambling, having sex like crazed weasels & watching the Horns beat the **** outta aggy on a 100' plasma TV in a sports book.

My 21st b'day was unmemorable. I was going thru a divorce on my 30th. I'm damn sure gonna enjoy 40 & take stock of the good things in my life.

As I always say:

"At my age the only thing worse than having a birthday.... is not having a birthday..."

I rarely if ever do anything special for my birthday as I had enough wild times for enough years. More importantly my youngest daughter's b-day if 4 days before mine so I sort of get lost in the shuffle. I will probably do something for my 50th in two years but beyond that I just figure that the math says the party is more than half over...
