Anybody else feel it? Woke me up in the middle of the night and instantly reminded me of quarry blasting where I used to live (SA). I'm only about 15 miles from the epicenter but I heard it could be felt all across the midwest.

There was also one back in the late '60's, centered near the New Madrid fault, out near St. Louis. We felt a roll and rumble all the way up to the NW 'burbs (Mt Prospect & Des Plaines). It was quite weird.

This one was centered near Elgin, kind of west "burbs.

actually centered in Sycamore, about 50 miles east of Chicago. I live in St. Charles, which is about 10 miles from Sycamore and i felt it for a second. woke the wife and myself up. We were both like, "what was that?". I fell back asleep instantly. lol. didn't even bother getting up to check anything.

Growing up, we were told the biggest earthquake on US record occurred on the New Madrid fault (1800s). It’s one of those faults that sits and sits, building up pressure until it blows to holy hell.

I was curious about how that one felt. I used to live in Lake County, IL.

I now live near a stone quarry, and also near Ft. Hood. Ft. Hood has had more artillary going these past 2 weeks than I can remember in the last 5 years! They are pounding something fierce.
