I live in Corpus... should I evacuate to Austin and go to the game? but what if it goes to Galveston and all the rain goes to Austin? should I just stay and hope it goes north? aghhh...

It is unlikely Ike will affect the weather in Austin, although it could. Aren't they predicitng landfall Friday or Saturday? It wouldn't affect Austin for a couple of days after that, I would expect. Most hurricanes do not affect Austin. It would have to be a big one that stayed together, and would hit around Galveston to Corpus. It could happen.
We are 200 miles from the coast, you know.

I remember when Ike made landfall on the coast of France back in '44. It was a real ************. I would have hated to have to watch a game under those conditions.

I work at the children's hospital so I have to stay, but I'm sending my wife west... I gave up on the game since we don't even know if it's actually gonna happen... I just hope there isn't too much drama in town...
