IKE refugee in Austin - Recommendation Needed

Poor Aggies

25+ Posts
I've brought the family to Austin, along with our pooch, who, by the way, f'n hates OU.

We need a recommendation on a restaurant that allows pets.

Also, does the athletic dept give tours of basketball/football facilities?

Thanks and Hook 'Em Horns.

P-Terry's off Lamar and Barton Springs is a good place for lunch of dinner if your in a hamburger mood. Once you get your food you sit outside so pets are fine. I cant off the top of my head think of any other places. I know you can get a tour of Gregory gym any time you want by walking in and asking for it (come tomorrow I work all day) and I would for sure take a trip to the trophy room on the south side of the stadium.

Many places in Austin allow dogs on their patios. In addition to the two mentioned, Central Market on N Lamar (although you have to keep them on the lower level), Mangia (both Lake Austin and Guadalupe), Artz Rib House, Crown & Anchor, Taco Shack, Austin Java, Green Mesquite on Barton Springs, and Opal Divines all allow dogs.

bouldin creek cafe(?), homeslice, changos.
I think I've even seen dogs at frank and angies, if their patio is open.

with the weather being so nice this week, don't miss a trip to freddies. Best piece of land in south austin, in my opinion.
