III Forks steakhouse opens in the 2nd St. District on Oct. 24. (ground floor of CSC building)

They bill themselves as "Texas-French" cuisine. Who's been to the one in Dallas? Is it any good?

Please post your comments/reviews here! Thanks.

The Dallas location is very good. Excellent steaks

The "French" part is streching it -- they have some Loiusiana-type influences on a few thjings, but that's about it.

"That invitation usually goes to our president and/or PR director. If I could hook you up, you know I would!

Balls, I have no involvement with III Forks except for my love of beef. "

If you have no involvement, why do you refer to him as "OUR" President/CEO ?

If you're gonna be a shill, att least be an honest shill.

let's run with her love for beef theme and move this baby to 3:16.

I got a call about coming on Friday as its 1/2 off everything with the invite, but I'll be in Arizona. If you are actually my friend, send me a text message and I'll give it to you.

yeah. It should arrive today. I'll try to get it to you tomorrow. I'll be all around town so just let me know what works.

I just want to mention that I HATE hornfans for making me send a text message with the phrase "I have that III Forks thing for puddlecruiser. Give him my number". Biggest....dork moment....ever. Actually, second biggest. Whatever.

Went Sunday night (still part of the 1/2 price deal) since a friend of mine is their events coordinator.

I had the filet mignon which was very good and the date had halibut which was also good. Service was fine.

Total experience was about what I expected and I'll go again. We'll see how the atmosphere develops and what others think of the food. It's tough to beat the lounge at Eddie V's downtown.
