I assume you mean who would you most like as your catcher, as opposed to who would you most like to hit with a pitch while they're batting, right?

I've heard lots of pitchers praise Varitek in interviews... saying that he always calls a good game, etc. He's a great leader, that's for sure. I hope the Sox re-sign him as he's gonna be a free agent after this season. But I also hope he finds a way to improve his offense
