If we lose to KSU

Hypothetical, not saying we will, but you never know, I think our chances of winning the big 12 are still pretty decent. Needless to say, let's beat them and not worry about that, hopefully.

We are in great shape.
It's all in our hands. Just win out.
No help needed from anyone.
What sucks is a Tennessee team we hammered earlier is now #1.
Can't hurt our RPI I guess.

We're not going to lose to KSU. Barnes is smart. He'll pack a zone in around and Walker and Beasley and no way in hell KSU will beat us from the perimeter.

And I know this sounds tired and repetitive, but I think we get everyone's best shot in any sport. We'll get their best. Hopefully Beasley will get frustrated. Maybe Pat Knight can help us out here.

Regardless, I'd still fell ok if we lose to ksu, because I think they'll lose to KU>

I agree with Bob that the tempo of the KSU-BU game will help. Plus we had a big enough lead in the 2nd half to use our bench some.

Hopefully we can give the Mildcats a little payback for some of the misery that they have dealt us recently.

We would have to lose 2 of our next 4 (and Kansas not lose anymore)to not keep the number 1 seed going into the Big XII tournament.

What's this "IF" stuff? We WILL lose to KSU. It is preordained, for we have no chance against the Mighty Mildcats of Manhattan. We are dooooooooooooomed.

We always struggle in manhattan so this game is the biggest obstacle left to running the table in the conference schedule, not taking anything away from the other 3 teams on our slate. It's going to be up to damion to lock down on beasley.

Well it looked more like Cartier Martin (who Bob pointed out is gone) and company were just shooting over top of our small guards. I'm not sure how you defend a really tall 3 pt shooter. Does Beasley have that kind of range? He was turn around j'ing Baylor to death. But he doesn't seem to be able to step way out like Durant and drop a NBA 3 on you. How are we going to slow him down?

Yes, Beasley has range. As I pointed out in another thread somewhere, KSU is making more 3 pointers this year in conference than they did last year, shooting a better team percentage, and spreading the shots better among more players. Their leading 5 players in minutes played have each shot between 25 and 50 three pointers in conference games. Beasley is hitting 43 percent.

Not only are WE in a funk in Manhattan (football and bball), but Kstate plays TONS better at home than they do on the road. They lose to Tech and baylor on the road, but knock kansas in the face at home. I'm expecting their best game.

I should also point out the rest of those leaders in min/pg are all shooting 35% (rounded up) or better on their 3's, but the real test with KSU is board strength. They are outrebounding the opponents by 8 a game in conference. Atchley had better be ready to get a body on somebody and not give up the interior position on defense.
