...just remember that openly expressing negative thoughts about it just feeds the fire of those who think JerryWorld is the future of Texas/ou.

I can't imagine that most who post here want to see the game moved just to avoid the weather.

I would HATE to see it moved

But '84 presents a pretty convincing arguement. And they sell Fletchers at JJ world. And I hate Jerry. Disregard.

They may sell Fletcher's at Jerry World, but that's not nearly enough to replicate the atmosphere at the State Fair. It's a nice stadium, to be sure, but it's just too sterile to host an old college tradition like the Red River Shootout. It's needs to be broken in with a fine layer of grime and erosion first. 70 degrees and no precipitation is nice, but that's not true football weather. You've got to play in the elements sometimes.

I believe both schools have made it clear that if they leave the Cotton Bowl it will be to go to a home and home series. One of the reasons holding ou back from forcing the home and home series is the unequal capacities of the stadiums - DKR has a 15 to 20,000 seat larger capacity and on a home and home basis no way Texas equalizes revenue. Doesn't take an accounting major to calculate the extra revenue Texas would make on that deal.

Also, both schools are fully aware that the only organization to come away with a bundle of cash from a game at Cowboys Stadium is the organization known as Jerry Jones.
